Ingredients
1 lb (450g) ground beef
4 cloves garlic
minced
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional
for heat)
3 cups beef broth
2 cups milk (or heavy cream for extra richness)
12 oz (340g) pasta (penne
rotini
or fettuccine)
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 tbsp butter
Fresh parsley
chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Add the minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the pot, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the beef broth and milk (or heavy cream), bringing the mixture to a simmer.
- Stir in the pasta and Italian seasoning, making sure the pasta is submerged in the liquid.
- Cover the pot and cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is tender and the liquid has thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in the grated parmesan cheese and butter until melted and creamy.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use heavy cream instead of milk. You can also add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms to enhance the dish.
