1 large egg

1/4 cup granulated sugar for rolling


Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the molasses and egg until well combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
  • Scoop tablespoons of dough and roll them into balls, then roll in granulated sugar.
  • Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
