1 package of frozen croissant dough (8–10 croissants)
1 cup of shredded kunafa dough
1 cup of ricotta cheese
1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of milk
1/4 cup of unsalted butter
melted
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1/4 cup of crushed pistachios (for garnish)
Honey or syrup (for drizzling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
- Roll out the croissant dough and cut it into triangles.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the kunafa dough, ricotta cheese, sugar, milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
- Place a triangle of croissant dough in each muffin tin cup, pressing the edges to conform to the shape of the tin.
- Fill each croissant cup with the kunafa mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly, and drizzle with honey or syrup. Garnish with crushed pistachios before serving.
Notes
Serve warm for the best texture and flavor. You can also use other types of cheese for a different taste.
