This Hoisin Beef Noodles Recipe features tender sliced beef and vibrant vegetables tossed in a savory hoisin sauce, all served over rice or egg noodles for a delicious and quick meal.
Ingredients
8 oz (about 225g) rice noodles or egg noodles
1 lb (450g) beef sirloin or flank steak
thinly sliced against the grain
2 tablespoons vegetable oil (divided)
2 cloves garlic
minced
1-inch piece ginger
minced or grated
2 cups mixed vegetables (e.g.
bell peppers
broccoli
snap peas
or carrots)
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar or lime juice
1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the noodles according to package instructions and set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the thinly sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining oil, garlic, and ginger; sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet, then add the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar or lime juice, and sesame oil. Stir to combine and heat through.
- Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss everything together until well mixed.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
Feel free to customize the mixed vegetables based on what you have on hand. For a spicier kick, add some chili flakes to the stir-fry.
