Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
4–5 medium potatoes thinly sliced
1 1/2 cups shredded cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon seasoning
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup beef broth or water
1/4 cup milk (optional for creaminess)
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Layer the thinly sliced potatoes in a greased casserole dish. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Spread the cooked ground beef mixture over the potatoes.
- Pour the beef broth or water evenly over the layers.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese and grated Parmesan over the top.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. If desired, remove the foil for the last 10 minutes for a crispy top.
- Let it sit for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
