16-ounce box angel food cake mix
21-ounce can strawberry pie filling
8-ounce block cream cheese
3.4-ounce box Jell-O vanilla instant pudding mix
1.5 cups whole milk
8-ounce container Cool Whip whipped topping
Fresh lemon juice (optional)
Sliced almonds (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the angel food cake mix according to the package instructions and bake it in a 9×13 inch pan.
- Let the cake cool completely, then crumble it into the bottom of a trifle dish or bowl.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese and vanilla pudding mix with whole milk until smooth and creamy.
- Fold in the Cool Whip whipped topping until well combined.
- Spread half of the pudding mixture over the crumbled cake, then layer half of the strawberry pie filling on top.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining cake, pudding mixture, and strawberry filling.
- Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
