Description

These French Dip Sliders are a perfect combination of tender beef and melty cheese, served on soft slider buns, making them an ideal appetizer or quick meal.

Ingredients

Scale

1.5 pounds beef roast (such as chuck roast or sirloin)

1 onion

thinly sliced

3 cloves garlic

minced

1 cup beef broth

1 cup water

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and pepper

to taste

12 slider buns (or mini brioche buns)

6 slices provolone cheese (or Swiss cheese)

Butter (for toasting buns)

Instructions

  • In a slow cooker, combine the beef roast, sliced onion, minced garlic, beef broth, water, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the beef is tender and easily shredded.
  • Once cooked, shred the beef with two forks and mix it with the juices in the slow cooker.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the slider buns in half and butter the insides.
  • Place the bottoms of the slider buns on a baking sheet and layer with shredded beef and a slice of cheese on each.
  • Top with the other half of the buns and bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and buns are toasted.
  • Serve hot with a side of the beef broth for dipping.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding sliced jalapenos or your favorite horseradish sauce to the sliders.
