Ingredients
2 lbs beef chuck roast
trimmed
1 tablespoon olive oil
room temperature
1 medium onion
diced
2 cloves garlic
minced
2 cups beef broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
4 slices of sandwich bread
toasted
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the beef chuck roast on all sides until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Transfer the beef to your slow cooker and add the diced onion and minced garlic.
