2 pounds large shrimp (2124 count)

peeled and deveined

1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning

1 tablespoon salt for cooking water

2/3 cup mayonnaise

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 tablespoon butter

plus more to grease the pan

1/2 cup panko bread crumbs

4 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese

4 ounces shredded medium cheddar cheese


Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.
  • In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink. Drain and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until well blended.
  • Fold the cooked shrimp into the mayonnaise mixture, ensuring all shrimp are coated.
  • Transfer the shrimp mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, mozzarella cheese, and cheddar cheese. Sprinkle this mixture over the shrimp casserole.
  • Dot the top with additional butter and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
