These Easy Honey Barbecue Chicken Bites are the perfect quick and delicious appetizer for any gathering, featuring tender chicken tossed in a sweet and tangy honey barbecue sauce.
Ingredients
1 pound boneless
skinless chicken breasts or thighs
cut into bite-sized pieces
1 cup barbecue sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley or green onions
chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, honey, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Add the chicken pieces to the bowl and toss until fully coated with the sauce.
- Spread the coated chicken pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and slightly caramelized.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or green onions before serving.
Notes
For an extra kick, add a dash of cayenne pepper to the sauce mixture. These bites can also be cooked on a grill for a smoky flavor.
