Deliciously soft and chewy Easter Chocolate Chip Cookies filled with semi-sweet chocolate chips and festive candy-coated chocolate eggs, perfect for celebrating the holiday.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter
softened
¾ cup brown sugar
packed
½ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup Easter M&Ms or candy-coated chocolate eggs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and Easter M&Ms or candy-coated chocolate eggs.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a chewier cookie, underbake slightly and let them sit on the sheet for a couple of additional minutes before transferring to a rack.
