These Delicious King Cake Bites are a delightful twist on the classic Mardi Gras treat, perfect for brightening your Carnival festivities with their vibrant colors and sweet flavor.
Ingredients
2 cans of refrigerated crescent roll dough
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1 cup cream cheese softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Colored sugar or sprinkles in purple
green
and gold
Optional: 1/4 cup chopped pecans

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough into two rectangles, sealing the perforations to create a single sheet.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle this mixture evenly over the dough.
- Spread the softened cream cheese evenly over the sugar mixture, followed by the chopped pecans if using.
- Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other, and then slice into bite-sized pieces.
- Place the slices on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before drizzling with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract mixed with a few tablespoons of milk to create a glaze.
- Sprinkle with colored sugar in purple, green, and gold immediately after glazing.
