This rich and flavorful dish is effortless to prepare and perfect for busy weeknights or cozy family dinners. Served over angel hair pasta, it delivers restaurant-quality taste with minimal work.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken and Sauce

4 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 2 lbs / 900 g)

¼ cup (½ stick / 60 g) unsalted butter

1 (8 oz / 225 g) block cream cheese, softened

1 (10.5 oz / 295 g) can golden mushroom soup

1 packet (1 oz / 28 g) dry Italian dressing mix

½ cup (120 ml) chicken broth

½ cup (120 ml) white wine (or extra broth as substitute)

½ teaspoon garlic powder

¼ teaspoon black pepper

For Serving

12 oz (340 g) angel hair pasta, cooked

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken:
Trim chicken and season lightly with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Slice thick breasts in half for even cooking.

Make the Creamy Sauce:
In a saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Add cream cheese and stir until smooth. Whisk in golden mushroom soup, chicken broth, white wine, and Italian dressing mix. Stir for 3–5 minutes until creamy and well combined.

Assemble in Crock Pot:
Lay chicken breasts in a single layer in the crock pot. Pour sauce evenly over the top, coating all pieces. Cover with lid.

Cook Slowly:
Cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–2½ hours, until chicken is tender. Avoid opening the lid frequently.

Prepare Pasta:
Boil angel hair pasta 20 minutes before serving. Drain and set aside.

Combine and Serve:
Shred chicken or leave whole. Serve over angel hair pasta and drizzle with sauce. Garnish with parsley and Parmesan. Serve hot.

Notes

Soften cream cheese before melting to prevent clumping.

Don’t overcook chicken — check at the 4-hour mark on LOW.

If sauce thickens too much, add a splash of broth or milk when reheating.

Avoid freezing pasta; cook fresh when serving leftovers.
