Ingredients
30 oz frozen shredded hash browns thawed and squeezed of all moisture
12 thick cut bacon strips cooked crispy and crumbled
1 lb breakfast sausage regular or spicy
12 large eggs room temperature preferred
8 oz cream cheese softened
3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese freshly shredded
1 packet ranch seasoning mix 1 oz packet not dressing
4 green onions sliced both white and green parts
½ cup whole milk not skim or it’s too thin
1 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
½ teaspoon black pepper freshly ground is best
2 tablespoons butter for greasing pan
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large baking dish with butter.
- In a large bowl, combine the thawed hash browns with salt, pepper, and ranch seasoning mix.
- Spread the hash brown mixture evenly in the bottom of the greased baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix cooked bacon, sausage, cream cheese, milk, and eggs until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the hash browns.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese and sliced green onions.
- Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the casserole is set.
- Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
