Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  • In another bowl, cream the softened butter and 1 cup of granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in the milk and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  • In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup of granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the top of the batter.
