Description
Deliciously fluffy Cinnamon Roll Waffles combine the best of both worlds—fluffy waffles and sweet cinnamon rolls, all topped with a creamy glaze.
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons white sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 ½ cups warm milk
⅓ cup butter
melted
2 eggs
beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¾ cup brown sugar
packed
½ cup butter
melted
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 ½ cups confectioners’ sugar
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese
softened
¼ cup butter
softened
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
⅛ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar, melted butter, and ground cinnamon to create the cinnamon topping.
- Preheat your waffle iron. Pour a portion of the batter onto the iron, then swirl in some of the cinnamon topping.
- Close the waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually about 3-5 minutes, until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, beat together the cream cheese, softened butter, confectioners’ sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth to make the cream cheese topping.
- Serve the waffles warm, drizzled with the cream cheese topping.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding chopped nuts or raisins to the cinnamon topping.
