Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar, melted butter, and ground cinnamon to create the cinnamon topping.
  • Preheat your waffle iron. Pour a portion of the batter onto the iron, then swirl in some of the cinnamon topping.
  • Close the waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually about 3-5 minutes, until golden brown.
