This delightful Christmas Crack Chex Mix combines a crunchy base with rich chocolate and festive M&M’s for the perfect holiday snack.
Ingredients
Rice Chex cereal
pretzels
salted peanuts or mixed nuts
butter
brown sugar
vanilla extract
semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
white chocolate or almond bark
holiday M&M’s or festive sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the Rice Chex cereal, pretzels, and nuts.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract over medium heat until it boils. Stir constantly for 2 minutes.
- Pour the melted mixture over the cereal, pretzels, and nuts, and stir until evenly coated.
- Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
- Melt the chocolate chips and drizzle over the cooled mix. Then drizzle the melted white chocolate or almond bark for extra decoration.
- While the chocolate is still warm, sprinkle with holiday M&M’s or festive sprinkles.
- Allow to set completely before breaking into pieces and serving.
