Ingredients
Scale
1 cup creamy peanut butter-room temperature
¼ cup unsalted butter-melted
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon salt
2 cups powdered sugar
10–12 oz. chocolate chopped in small pieces (I used half of semi-sweet and half of milk chocolate) or use good quality candy coating
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, melted butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until smooth.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until fully incorporated and you have a thick mixture.
- Shape the mixture into heart shapes on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for about 30 minutes until firm.
- Melt the chocolate (or candy coating) in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
- Dip each peanut butter heart into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated, and place back on the baking sheet.
- Let the chocolate set at room temperature or refrigerate for faster setting before serving.
Notes
For a more pronounced flavor, use high-quality chocolate. You can also drizzle melted chocolate over the set hearts for a decorative touch.
