Description
Delight in the chewy, sweet goodness of Chocolate-Dipped Coconut Macaroons, perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, all enveloped in rich semisweet chocolate.

¾ cup sweetened condensed milk
¼ teaspoon almond extract
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon fine salt
1 large egg white
3 cups shredded unsweetened coconut
1 (4 ounce) bar semisweet chocolate
chopped

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, almond extract, vanilla extract, and fine salt.
- Add the egg white and mix until well combined.
- Fold in the shredded coconut until evenly coated.
- Scoop out tablespoons of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the bottoms are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- While the macaroons cool, melt the chopped semisweet chocolate in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
- Dip the bottoms of each macaroon in the melted chocolate and place them back on the parchment to set.
- Allow the chocolate to harden before serving.
Notes
For an extra touch, sprinkle some sea salt on top of the chocolate before it hardens.
