1 cup cherries

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until fully combined.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the flour and salt. Gradually add this to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and cherries gently until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the bars cool in the pan before slicing into squares and serving.

Notes
