Ingredients

1 cup white sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

½ cup all-purpose flour

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon baking powder

3 tablespoons butter softened

3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tablespoon honey

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup confectioners’ sugar


Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt ½ cup of butter.
  • Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of white sugar, 2 large eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Mix in ⅓ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, ½ cup of all-purpose flour, ¼ teaspoon of salt, and ¼ teaspoon of baking powder until the batter is well blended.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • In the meantime, prepare the frosting by beating 3 tablespoons of softened butter, 3 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 tablespoon of honey, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract in a bowl.
  • Gradually add 1 cup of confectioners’ sugar and mix until smooth and creamy.
  • Once the brownies are cool, spread the frosting on top and cut into slices.
