Scale
2 pounds mushrooms
sliced 1/4 inch thick
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari)
3 cloves garlic
chopped
1/2 teaspoon thyme
chopped
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, chopped garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated mushrooms onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender and slightly charred.
- Remove from the grill and serve hot.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add bell peppers or onions to the skewers. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
