1 pound dry ziti pasta
1 onion
chopped
1 pound lean ground beef
2 (26 ounce) jars spaghetti sauce
6 ounces provolone cheese
sliced
1 ½ cups sour cream
6 ounces mozzarella cheese
shredded
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, sauté the chopped onion until translucent, then add the ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in the spaghetti sauce and allow the mixture to simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked ziti, beef mixture, sour cream, and provolone cheese.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For additional flavor, feel free to add Italian herbs or extra vegetables to the meat sauce.
