8 large eggs
2 cups milk
1 ½ cups half-and-half cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¾ cup butter
1 ⅓ cups brown sugar
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter.
- Layer the slices of French bread in the baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, half-and-half, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. Pour the mixture evenly over the bread slices.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter, then mix in the brown sugar and corn syrup until well combined. Spoon this mixture over the bread.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
