  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Light, fluffy, and bursting with juicy blueberries, these air fryer donuts are a healthier, easy-to-make alternative to traditional fried donuts. Perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Donuts:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (125 g)

  • ½ cup granulated sugar (100 g)

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ¼ tsp baking soda

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

  • 1 large egg

  • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt (60 g)

  • 2 tbsp milk (30 ml)

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted (30 g)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ½ cup fresh or frozen blueberries (75 g)

For the Glaze (optional):

  • ½ cup powdered sugar (60 g)

  • 12 tsp milk (510 ml)

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat Air Fryer: Set air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3–5 minutes. Grease donut molds lightly.

  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

  3. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, beat egg, Greek yogurt, milk, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.

  4. Add Blueberries: Fold in blueberries gently (do not thaw frozen berries).

  5. Combine Mixtures: Pour wet mixture into dry ingredients and fold until just combined. Batter should be thick but scoopable.

  6. Fill Donut Molds: Spoon batter into molds, filling ¾ full. Smooth tops lightly.

  7. Air Fry: Cook at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes in molds, then transfer to a wire rack.

  8. Glaze (Optional): Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over cooled donuts and let set 10–15 minutes.

Notes

  • Do not overmix to keep donuts light and fluffy.

  • Frozen blueberries can be used directly to prevent batter from turning purple.

  • Air fryer times may vary; check for doneness at 8 minutes.
