Ahi Tuna Poke Cups are a fresh and flavorful appetizer that combines sushi-grade ahi tuna with creamy avocado and crunchy cucumbers, all served in crispy wonton cups for a delightful bite-sized treat.
Ingredients
1 lb sushi-grade ahi tuna
diced
1 avocado
diced
1 cucumber
diced
¼ cup green onions
thinly sliced
¼ cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon honey or agave syrup
1 teaspoon sriracha (optional for heat)
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Mini crispy wonton cups or tortilla chips for serving
Fresh cilantro or microgreens for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the diced ahi tuna, avocado, cucumber, and green onions.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey or agave syrup, and sriracha until well blended.
- Pour the sauce over the tuna mixture and gently toss to coat evenly.
- To serve, spoon the tuna mixture into mini crispy wonton cups or on top of tortilla chips.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and garnish with fresh cilantro or microgreens if desired.
Notes
For added flavor, let the tuna mixture marinate for 10-15 minutes before serving. Serve immediately for the best texture and taste.
